5 MORE FEMALE BLOGGERS TO INSPIRE YOU

There are days when things seem to get on top of me.  There are days when I feel that I need a little boost.  If I need it, I thought that other female bloggers would need it to.  So I started a blog series called Why She Inspires Me last year.  I felt that too often we fail to recognise the achievements of women.  I wanted to share with everyone why female bloggers were inspiring me and celebrating them on their achievements too.

Below are some more fabulous female bloggers. Please show them some love by visiting their blog, following them on social media or just giving them a little bit of support.

Beauty & The Bird

Rachel blogs about beauty, fashion, travel, wellbeing, blogging itself and lifestyle all from the cutest blog called Beauty & The Bird.  Rachel’s photos are amazing and the layout of her blog is stunningly beautiful.  There are so many fantastic topics on there I had trouble choosing one to share with you but I guess the one that inspired me the most was Why I’m Grateful for the jobs I Hated.  A wonderful insightful post that got me thinking about the jobs I have worked and hated.  Please visit Rachel now and see for yourself.

The Rare Welsh Bit

What’s not to love about food and travel and doing both is just bliss!  Kacie is behind The Rare Welsh Bit.  A very popular food blog in it’s own right, I love reading through every post,  although my mouth always starts to water looking at the food!  My particular favourite has to be the Grenada Chocolate Festival – I mean who knew there was such a thing?  Anyway, please head over to Kacie’s blog to get your fill of food and travel.

July Journal

A cruelty free beauty and lifestyle blog penned by Yasmina.  I really love the Cruelty Free Guide that Yasmina has prepared, a very useful guide for detailing what cruelty free means. It’s a lovely blog to give you some ideas on beauty products that you may not have heard about.  Having someone review them is a big plus in my book, I always get recommendations from other bloggers.  Please visit Yasmina’s blog.

The Spoonie Mummy

The Spoonie Mummy is run by Natalie who writes about life and parenting with chronic illnesses. Sections include health, parenting, lifestyle, book reviews, recipes, favourites and product reviews.  I was so inspired by Natalie’s blog particuarly her posts about her illness and this post on her relationship.  I love to read posts like this, they are so inspiring, open and honest.  Go ahead and connect with Natalie now!

PinkieBag

I have to admit to following Chloe from day 1 of my journey to becoming a blogger.  I absolutely adore all the reviews of teas on Chloe’s blog.  I really couldn’t pick out just one post so I would recommend heading over to the hot drinks section of her blog to read about all the wonderful teas there are out there.  Honestly I never knew there were so many!  You will most certainly be inspired to go and try some new teas.  Show her some love and visit her blog today.

I hope these wonderful female bloggers inspire you as much as they have me.  Please show your love and support and head over to their blogs now.

Today though I want to share with you some other fantastic female bloggers as a way of supporting them on their blogging journey.  Please visit their blog and show them some love and appreciation as they continue to support themselves, support their families, and support brands to reach more customers!

  • Melissa’s blog is self named, Melissajanelee.  Blogging about all things lifestyle with food, travel and fantastic giveaways too!  I’m not great in the kitchen so her food section is a fantastic resource, I really need to try Boozy Truffles!

  • Who doesn’t need help to make more money?!  I am always on the look out for ways to increase my income so Melissa’s blog At Home & Online is a must!  Her blog posts on Reselling is fantastic particularly the one on 10 Places to Find Items to Resell Online.  I have just started decluttering and selling on Ebay which is the first stage.  Can’t wait to start trying reselling too!

These are just some of the wonderful female bloggers I have come across this week.  I will be sharing with you more inspirational bloggers over the coming weeks.  Please support them too by visiting their blogs and commenting on their posts or sharing on your social media.  Let’s start supporting all women as they make their way in the blogging world.

WHY SHE INSPIRES ME – BECKY – CUDDLE FAIRY

Why she inspires me, celebrating female bloggers is a blog series that I started to stand up and celebrate the strength and resilience of wonderful women. Female bloggers who, in my eyes, are quite frankly unstoppable. I wanted to celebrate these women and share with you their blogs in the hope that they inspire you too.

Today I want to introduce you to Becky from Cuddle Fairy.  First, how cute is her blog name?  It was the first thing that drew me to her website.  What also inspired me to explore was Becky’s positivity.  I often suffer from the ‘not good enough’ syndrome which probably most women suffer from.  So having a specific section for Positivity including quotes, positive thinking and the beautiful Happiness Series really draws me to Becky’s site time and time again.

Women have faced many struggles through time, alas those challenges and more still exist.  Becky understands this and regularly hosts a 3 day Posivitity Challenge.  I took part and I have to say I found the challenge to be the most rewarding thing I have undertaken.  My negative inner voice can be constant but each day Becky posts positive quotes and encourages us to choose positive thoughts.

Becky has really inspired me to change my thinking.  I’d love for you to get to know Becky below and sign up for her Positivity Challenge when you get the chance.

What makes you smile?

My three kids for sure. All three have great sense of humours and can be so funny.  Birds make me smile which might sound odd. I love to see them flying around and hoping from branch to branch in our back yard.  Anything loving or touching makes me smile.  And I always smile when someone is happy when they tell a story, their happiness shines so bright and makes me smile too.

If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?

Oooo now this is a tough one! I’d be going for someone spiritual and calm that I could learn from their energy and their wisdom. I’d say the Dali Lama but I would never know how to fill his shoes!
Why She Inspires Me

What accomplishments are you most proud of?

I’m proud that I breast feeding my kids until they were around 12 – 14 months old each.  I’m also proud of my blog, Cuddle Fairy & my blog’s social accounts.
Why She Inspires Me

If you could give your 16 year old self advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?

I’d tell myself not to stress and to take each moment as it comes in. I’d say to pause before I answer any question so I can answer the way I want to and not out of habit or out of a moment of anger. And to start reading philosophy and mindset books asap!
Why She Inspires Me

What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?

I started my blog for two reasons. One to spread positivity. Two to be a stay at home working mother. The aim to spread positivity is what keeps me going. It makes me really happy when people leave me comments about my blog posts or quotes and how they have helped them in some way. That honestly makes my day and keeps me going!

WHY SHE INSPIRES ME – SARAH – LIFE IN A BREAK DOWN

Why she inspires me, celebrating female bloggers is a blog series that I started to stand up and celebrate the strength and resilience of wonderful women. Female bloggers who, in my eyes, are quite frankly unstoppable. I wanted to celebrate these women and share with you their blogs in the hope that they inspire you too.

Women face multiple barriers today, domestic violence, sexual harassment, bullying, inequality in different shapes and forms from pay to promotion and so the list goes on.  However, there is one thing about Sarah from Life In A Breakdown that has inspired me to share this post with you today – she is a survivor.

Recognising and elevating women like Sarah for me strengthens the very fabric of society.  Sarah is supportive of others, she is kind, generous, honest and extremely hard working.  She has stood up, let go of her fears and persisted by sharing and writing on her blog even when the going gets tough.  Sarah has shared with us her journey, reading about her experience and to know that whatever happens to you, you are not alone is a very powerful statement and one which Sarah recognises and shares with us.

Sarah is super open and honest about her experiences, and what is so inspiring is her willingness to be supportive to others.  A few days before Christmas she offered to be there for others who might be finding Christmas Day tough.  How wonderful is that? Her kindness expands even further by helping other bloggers connect in her UK Official Bloggers Facebook Group.

I would really love for you to get to know Sarah and head over and connect with her too.  Sarah inspires me because she is a woman who is strong, creates, nurtures, supports and the odd time she laughs too 😉

Why She Inspires Me

  1. What makes you smile?

This is a hard one for me, I often don’t smile enough. Though my family, friends and crazy dog always seem to know how to make me smile. Ash (my partner) seems to know even when I’m feeling my worse how to crack a smile in some way from me. When it comes to TV shows it has to be Impractical Jokers though, that always manages to crack a smile from me.

  1. If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?

Can I say my Dog? I always wonder what’s going on in her little head, though she isn’t actually a person. I must admit I’m not sure if I would want swap with another human alive now for my own mental health reasons. However, perhaps someone from history I could swap with and enjoy. Seeing first-hand how our ancestors lived would be absolutely amazing.

Why She Inspires Me

  1. What accomplishments are you most proud of?

Honestly my blog, I’m not very good at sticking to things, I so quickly flit from doing one thing to another, that the fact I have managed to keep my blog going since 2010 is rather amazing to me.

why she inspires me

  1. If you could give your 16 year old self advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?

Things can change, don’t listen to what people tell you all the time, especially when they are trying to bring you down. Things can get better, your teen years and early 20s are awful but they help shape you and define you. Things might not work out how you once dreamt they would but that’s not the end of the world, learn to adapt and embrace the things around you.

  1. What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?

The people who put me down, the people who told me I was worthless. I keep going in some ways to show them they were wrong, to stick the fingers up at them. But also, to allow myself to feel fulfilled, that I can be somewhat useful, that I can make my own way in the world out there.

WHY SHE INSPIRES ME – CELEBRATING FEMALE BLOGGERS – SARA – DEBT CAMEL

Why she inspires me, celebrating female bloggers is a blog series that I started to stand up and celebrate the strength and resilience of wonderful women. Female bloggers who, in my eyes, are quite frankly unstoppable. I wanted to celebrate these women and share with you their blogs in the hope that they inspire you too.

Sara Williams

This post is about Sara Williams from Debt Camel.  Sara is retired, however she is a CAB advisor and blogs at Debt Camel to help demystify all things to do with debt.  I have to applaud Sara for her dedication to helping others no matter where they are on their debt journey.  Her approach to simplifying the process is to be admired as there are many people out there that often get the wool pulled over their eyes by financial jargon.  Sara’s straight talking approach is different from the other debt websites out there.

I really do hope Sara inspires you as much as she has me.   You too can help celebrate female bloggers by connecting with Sara below and all others in this series.  Read on to find out a bit more about Sara.

  1. What makes you smile?

Pretty normal things – good food, good wine, the company of my adult children, walking my spaniel when it’s nice weather.  I used to love travelling, but I’ve seen a lot of places and there really is nowhere better than home!  As a blogger, finding the right turn of phrase, or way to structure an article, can be very satisfying – a quiet smile that no one else sees.

  1. If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?

I’ll swap lives with Theresa May please! One day will be plenty of time to go out on the steps of Number 10 and announce that I had given Brexit my best shot and there is no way it is going to be anything other than a disaster for the country, so it’s cancelled.  I would also like the swap to be on one of the days when I volunteer at my local CAB. I think it would do the Prime Minister good to see the real problems people are struggling with.

  1. What accomplishments are you most proud of?

First has to be my two children. They are the best! It has been a privilege to watch them grow up and develop.  I used to work in the City devising and implementing some big projects in a rather obscure niche. I had a free hand to build a team and get the job done and my team were great, a pleasure to work with. The hours were daft, and ultimately incompatible with being a single parent, but for a few years it was the best job in the world and we worked miracles together. I am still so proud of what we achieved.

And I am now very proud of my blog. I never expected more than 50,000 people a month would be looking at it. Nor that people would contact me with news stories to publish. It has turned into a huge amount of work but it’s very varied – in the last month I have written about topics varying from very old student loans and ways to reduce your Xmas spending to the new forms people get sent if they are being taken to court for a CCJ.

  1. If you could give your 16 year old self advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?

Don’t worry about what you are going to do when you are grown up! Your working life will be long, you will do several completely different jobs in it, most of which weren’t planned in advance and which you could never have imagined aged 16.  So keep learning new things, keep interested in the world around you and keep your eyes open for what you could do next.

  1. What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?

I am lucky that I am retired and can do what I like. And very lucky that with my blog I can spend my time on a fascinating subject – debt advice in England – that also helps so many people. Sometimes writing the next article seems like a chore, but it’s comments like these on my blogs that keep me going:

  • “This month was the first ever in over 8 years I had no payday loans to repay.” (from a reader who has got refunds of the interest she paid on payday loans.)
  • thanks so much for this useful article. Armed with your information I challenged the Halifax to change a default date. They corrected it and awarded me £250 compensation .” (from a reader who had an error on his credit record).
