5 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COOLSCULPING

As a mummy I am finding it extremely it difficult to get rid of my little tummy after two C-section births!  No matter how many sit ups I do, it doesn’t seem to help.  So, I have decided to look in to CoolSculping.  Below I’ve listed 5 things you need to know about Coolsculping in case you are considering it too!

What Is CoolSculpting?

According to Pulse Light Clinic CoolSculpting is a noninvasive body sculpting treatment.  This is done by fat-freezing using a process called Cryolipolysis.  There is no need for surgery or needles.  The treatment has also been approved by the FDA.

What Does the Treatment Consist of?

At the Pulse Light Clinic you receive a free consultation where you will be able to discuss the areas you wish to see an improvement.  A Coolsculpting device is attached to the area of unwanted fat.  It then targets the area of fat cells freezing them which causes them to die.  The process can take up to an hour so it can be done in your lunch break – there is absolutely no down time at all – unlike other treatments.

What areas can you use CoolSculpting for & how long does it last?

CoolSculpting is an approved treatment of fat for bulges in the thighs, under the chin, on the belly, back, love handles and your bum.  On average you will experience a 20% reduction in fat per treatment.  It will take a few treatments for the best results and the final stage of the results will be visible within 2 or 3 months when your body will have flushed away all the dead fat cells that were frozen.  Indeed, the results are permanent if you keep up a healthy lifestyle.  So this is indeed a great way of kick starting a new healthy lifestyle.

Are there any risks associated with CoolSculpting?

There are no risks associated with CoolSculpting but there are some things you should be aware of.  There will be some redness around the areas of the treatment and some tenderness or tingling where the fat has been frozen.  These usually last around 10 to 15 minutes.

REVIEW OF THE ERGONOMIC PENCLIC MOUSE R3

As a blogger, I am constantly on my computer for long periods of time and with that I can often become uncomfortable using the mouse.  In some severe cases people can sometimes develop repetitive strain injury.

I was recently sent an ergonomic piece of kit which is fantastic.  The Penclic Mouse has been ergonomically designed to make work at your computer less of a strain.  It is a fusion between a mouse and a pen.

The base is shaped like a mouse which houses a rechargeable battery and the top is the pen part which you use to move your cursor about the screen.  It comes with a USB receiver, a cloth pouch (for carrying) and straightforward instructions.

Using the Penclic R3

It is very much like any other mouse with the major difference being that the scroll wheel as well as the left and right buttons are on the pen part.  You use it like you would any other pen basically.

Using the Penclic for the first time was a little strange, but that’s because we are all accustomed to using a traditional shaped mouse.  After using it a few times my hands soon got to grips with the controls.

The Penclic R3 is lovely to use, very intuitive and as sensitive as you need a mouse to be.  I found that my wrist felt more relaxed using it and seemed to be a more natural way of moving.

What Penclic say

“The Penclic R3 ambidextrous wireless mouse connects seamlessly to your pc or your mac using a USB dongle. The symetrical 3 button design is perfect for both lefties and righties.

  • The supported platforms for Penclic Mouse are all operating systems that support HID 1.1. These include Windows XP or later, Mac OSX version 10.1 or later and most Linux/BSD flavors. No extra software/driver installation is needed.
  • Operates on almost any surface without any pad or tablet.
  • Implements a 3-buttons and scroll wheel mouse.
  • USB Connection
  • AAA 1.2V NiMH Recharging battery (Everyday use last approximately 1 months before charging is needed).
  • Charging via USB.
  • LR 03/AAA/1.5V Alkaline None rechargeable battery can be used. NOTE: DO NOT RECHARGE
  • Energy saving mode starts after 10 min, press left click (button 1) to activate.
  • Wireless reach, minimum 5 metres.
  • Dpi settings 800 – 1200 – 1600.

The dpi button is located under the mouse, the cursor will move faster for each setting. It will rotate around frequency from 800-1600 and then go back to low 800. Once the power is shut of the dpi setting will return to its default setting, 1200 dpi.”

Conclusion

From the few times, I have used the Penclic R3, I would highly recommend it.  It does take a bit of time to adapt to the set up but if it stops the aches and pains and stops people from developing RSI then it would certainly be worth getting used to it.

Review: Hollah! Preserves Chutney made with chilli, strawberries and prosecco!

Based in Moira, Northern Ireland, Hollah! Preserves is a wonderful business run by two exceptional entrepreneurial women, Paula Latuske and Trudy Hodkinson.

They produce a magnificent array of chutneys and chilli jams with such a fun twist, I had the pleasure of tasting* their most popular chutney made with chilli, strawberries and prosecco. I mean what is not to love about food with prosecco!

This is a real winner for me, I have served it with salads, chicken dishes and hamburgers the past weekend – it is a jar of deliciousness with just the right kick of chilli.  It is bursting with amazing flavour and such a versatile product. There is just a little left (which I have hidden!) but I intend using that just for myself served on freshly baked bread with a slice of brie and a glass of prosecco just to top it off!

If you want something to spice up your food and extremely delicious then you just must head over to Hollah! online here to buy their products if your local supermarket doesn’t stock them.  You can also follow them on Twitter here to keep up-to-date with their latest creations.

They offer a fantastic range of other preserves to tantalise your taste buds, you will certainly be wowed by their perserves.
