Why she inspires me, celebrating female bloggers is a blog series that I started to stand up and celebrate the strength and resilience of wonderful women. Female bloggers who, in my eyes, are quite frankly unstoppable. I wanted to celebrate these women and share with you their blogs in the hope that they inspire you too.
Celebrating female bloggers is something that I am passionate about so today’s post is about the lovely Emma Drew from emmadrew.info . I first came across Emma’s blog when it was from Aldi to Harrods over a year ago. I had been considering starting a blog to showcase my vintage finds. It was Emma’s blog that totally inspired me to start on this journey. I could not believe that anyone could make a living from it. From that moment on I was hooked. I read Emma’s blog cover to cover (yes as if it were a book to be devoured!). I was so inspired by her journey from employee to being self employed. I was intrigued by the many unique and strange ways she shared that could help me make money. Yes I had been saving money from the likes of Topcashback but didn’t know about survey sites such as Prolific Academic or selling smelly shoes on Ebay! Emma’s blog had it all for me. To be honest it did take me a little while to contact Emma to be part of my Why She Inspires Me Series because quite frankly I was a little star-struck! Having admired Emma for so long, it was exciting and terrifying all in the same measure.
Emma is such a kind and uplifting person. She is determined and committed not just to making a happier life for herself and her husband but sharing what she has learnt with others. Emma strives to help others achieve the same level of success she has. She is kind and generous, it is so lovely to meet someone who is trying to make people the best that they can be. I really do hope Emma inspires you as much as she has me. You too can help celebrate female bloggers by connecting with Emma below and all others in this series.

What makes you smile?
Smiling more is something that I am always working on, so I have started to make a daily gratitude list of things that make me smile. It could be anything from a nice warm shower, spotting a bargain, sleeping in, spending time with my cats or cooking something delicious.
If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?
I would love to trade lives with another blogger to see how they do things! I constantly have a massive to do list, and I live with daily imposter syndrome. I would love to know if other bloggers feel like this. Plus I think it would help me to work more efficiently if I see how other bloggers get things done.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Getting to leave my full time job to blog is my proudest achievement. I absolutely love being my own boss and being in control of what my days look like. Alongside that I am really proud of being able to employ my husband now. It is hard work, but we get to spend our time working on a business to improve our lives.
If you could give your 16 year old self advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?
This one isn’t business related at all, but I met my husband when I was 16. He was 17 and on our first date he got his mum to drive us to the cinema and then pay for KFC afterwards. I was mortified and dumped him on MSN messenger shortly afterwards. We then found each other years later, but if I could go back I would tell myself to be a lot kinder to him!
What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?
I was homeless for six months as a teenager, and I do not want to go back to that at all. That drives me every single day to do more and earn more. I also like knowing that if my mental health takes a dive, I’m not letting anyone down.
