Well below I have 5 easy steps to help you on your Pinterest journey. These Pinterest tips are easy to follow and will have you increasing your page views through Pinterest SEO. I have noticed a huge jump in my Pinterest account and it’s all done to following some simple steps that you can do too.
I don’t want you to think I have it aced. Far from it, I’m still on a learning curve but I’ve been reading up so much lately on Pinterest and Pinterest SEO that I just had to share with you some of the tips that are working for me. You can see from the graph below what a difference these easy steps are helping me rock Pinterest. I have gone up by 314% and I’ve only started. I’ve no doubt the following steps will help you rock your Pinterest profile too!
STEP 1. SET UP A BUSINESS ACCOUNT
Having a business Pinterest account is a must if you have a business or a blog. It’s an easy thing to do on Pinterest and a must as it also helps get your blog name out there. There are other benefits too such as Pinterest Analytics. These are a great way to see how your boards are performing. You can set up your business account at https://business.pinterest.com.
STEP 2: OPTIMISE YOUR PINTEREST SEO PROFILE
It’s important to build a profile that will attract people to your pins and ultimately to your blog. This will also help with your Pinterest SEO. Start off with a profile picture. This can be your blog logo or it can be a picture of you. Make sure it is clear. Secondly, choose your keywords carefully to make sure people know just by glancing what you are about. So for mine, I am clear that I am a lifestyle blogger with an interest in Blogging Tips, Interiors, Parenting and Making Money.
STEP 3: BUILD YOUR BOARDS
You now need to start building your boards. It’s important to keep your readers in mind as well as your Pinterest SEO and to ensure your boards reflect your blog. For example, I set up my first board as the one that will have all of my blog posts. I then proceeded to set up further boards to reflect the topics I blog about. Not only do I place my blog posts in the E L Feelgood’s Blog Posts but if they are relevant to other boards I also insert them in there too. I also fill them up with other people’s content too.
It’s important to join some group boards too in your niche.
STEP 4: DESIGN THE PERFECT PIN
Pins are so visually important on Pinterest not just for increasing page views but to get you on feeds and help with your Pinterest SEO. I use a free version of CANVA as they have several templates but if you want to design your own remember to choose your background picture carefully, add text overly that can easily be read, add your website to the pin and make sure it is a vertical pin! Oh and make sure when saving it you use relevant keywords too!

STEP 5: PIN & SCHEDULE USING A MIXTURE OF AUTOMATION & MANUAL PINNING
For the automation of pinning I highly recommend Tailwind. In this post I explain exactly how Tailwind has helped me skyrocket my Pinterest and how to use it. You can also sign up for a free trail too!
Another step I have been taking recently has been manual pinning. Again it has helped me raise my game on Pinterest. I highly recommend Carly’s book Pinteresting Strategies. I am beginning to see even more growth on Pinterest. It is now my 3rd biggest referrer to my blog. I am hoping it will be my first in a few months time of using the Strategies in this book!
I hope the above steps help you rock your Pinterest and give you the satisfaction I have got from spending more time on Pinterest and getting results.
