Review: Wicked Uncle Big Kidz – great place for teenager gifts

With two teenage boys, where to get unique and fun gifts when birthdays come along or at Christmas can be a struggle.  When you don’t just want electronics finding a range to choose from can be difficult.  I was therefore delighted when Wicked Uncle got in touch to ask if I’d like to take part to review their Big Kidz range.

The website is great.  It is so user friendly and I was surprised at the array of gifts for my two teenagers.  The website allows you to specify gender, age range and you can also choose a toy/product category or just view the whole range.

Their Big Kidz range covers teenagers and upwards.  They have fun, quirky and unusual gifts for those teenagers that can be difficult to buy for.  Oh and it’s a great range for those adults too that feel young at heart!

New products are added often and they range from Funky Beach Towels, Festival-ready Face and Body Paint, gadgets, games and novelty gifts.

I ordered two gifts which I will be keeping for presents.  The first was the Mini Arcade Machine (£24.95).  It really is a blast from the past!

It has 240 built in games.  Many of them retro but I have found that retro games keep our boys entertained for ages.  It has an eight way control joy stick and two function buttons to navigate.  It also has a 2.5″ full colour screen and built in speakers.  It is easily portable so you can take it with you on any road trips if power runs out of the phones!

I also opted for the Anywhere Light (£9.95).  It’s a really cute and fun light which bends.  It will grip, grab or hand almost anywhere.  It is very flexible and with the grippy coated legs, it can be positioned to some fun and unusual ways.  It is just so tactile too and the head moves 360 degrees so it rotates so the light can shine anywhere you need it to.  It does need batteries but these come free – which is a fantastic bonus!

After ordering the items above, they arrived very quickly.  The standard postage costs £2.95 within the UK mainland and gifts are dispatched the same day if ordered before 4pm on a week day so you’ll get it within 2-3 days.  They also offer a 30 day policy to return an item for any reason, provided it is unused and in the original packaging.

Another great service is they offer wrapping which costs £3.50 for the first present and £1.75 thereafter.

I have to say I was truly surprised by the range and quality of the Wicked Uncle Big Kidz range as I’m often stuck for what to buy our two teenage boys as well as options for fun gifts for my hubby!

I was sent a voucher to try out this service. As always, all my reviews are an honest account of my experience – all opinions are my own.
