“He’s making a list and checking it twice
Gonna find out who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is comin’ to town”

Christmas has come to town again and I have to admit that I’m excited this year.  I’m excited to have the colder weather and the cozy jumpers out.  I’m excited for all the hot chocolates and marshmallows I will be having with my family.  I’m excited about sitting in front of a roaring fire and watching traditional movies.  I’m also excited about picking gifts that are special and say to my family that I have been thinking about them and to say thank you with a little something.

High streets are often starting to feel hustle and bustle this time of year and it won’t be long until the festive lights are on.  It’s also now time to start to consider your Christmas shopping and the presents for your family, friends, loved ones and colleagues. You can also make sure that your presents are delivered and ready on time if you start buying sooner rather than later. If you are purchasing items from overseas, for example, getting started now can give you time to open a euro bank account and allow for longer shipping times.

This year I have taken out a lot of the hassle for you by helping you save time and get in the Christmas spirit by sharing with you some gift suggestions for everyone.  Whether you need to buy a present for a partner, a son or daughter, a mum or a novelty prezzie for your colleague, I have you covered below.  I have tried and tested all these items for you and can highly recommend them!

So happy shopping!

I want to share with you one of the most unique gifts I have come across and that helps reduce waste!  Globally billions of tonnes of coffee waste is produced every year. When you brew a cup of coffee, only 1% of the liquid gold ends up in your delicious morning cuppa and 99% of the coffee ends up in landfill.  The husband and wife team from Freshly Grounds collects  coffee waste from local coffee shops by bicycle, on our daily commute back from work and then turn this waste into delicious Oyster Mushroom Grow Kits.  All you need to do is open up the box, water twice a day, watch them grow, cook and enjoy.  Multiple crops can be harvested from the same Grow Kit box. There is also detailed instructions leaflet and recipes cards included.  This is truly a fantastic product and ideal for those hard to buy at Christmas.

It would not be Christmas without chocolate and goodness me do I have a great selection to bring you from Seed and Bean. They are Eco-conscious and ethical choctastic gifts and under £12!  Each luxurious gift set contains a selection of Seed and Bean’s British handmade chocolate bars.  Guaranteed to bring out your wild side this Christmas, each bar combines the very best British flavours with cocoa beans from some of the world’s finest Fairtrade cocoa producing regions, catering to every palette – and every character!  You can visit their website to choose your gift here.

I love getting books as a gift for Christmas and I’m delighted to recommend the above Making Happy Work. Do you want to know your purpose and work in a useful, meaningful way? Meditation teacher and inner architect, Mick Timpson, leads this call to change and shows us how to shift the way we approach what we do via modern meditation techniques to get us into a happier, more creative place. You can order your copy of this book here.

I love getting new notebooks and I am not the only one!  I wanted to share with you this fantastic one from Scaramanga. It is a Leather Journal handmade from exclusive Hunter Leather. This rich brown leather bound journal is just the right size to carry around in your bag or briefcase. These luxurious classic handmade medium leather notebooks have been handcrafted using traditional leather craftwork and bookbinding skills.  Each contains 120 pages (240 sides) pages of sketch paper, which creates a unique texture that is suitable for most pen types (not fountain pens) and sketching.  You can buy it from Scaramanga here.

Another Christmas tradition is the board game.  I’m happy to see that my favourite comedy show now has a board game and I can’t wait to play this at Christmas.  Taskmaster is just so funny.  Compete with your friends and family in a series of ludicrous tasks to be crowned Taskmaster Champion!

After Christmas comes the New Year and new resolutions.  So why not pre-empt the after Christmas pledges to exercise more with the fantastic quality of leggings from Love Leggings. The quality of these are fantastic so they won’t budge when you are exercising.  Love Leggings also have a fantastic range on offer to suit all styles and tastes.

You really can’t go wrong with chocolate at Christmas!  These Guylian Belgian Chocolates are luxurious and indulgent.  Whilst the unique marbled shapes and delectable roasted hazelnut praline flavour of Guylian chocolates may be internationally recognised, what many may not realise is that the Guylian brand actually started with a love story. Guylian was created in 1958 when lovers Guy and Liliane combined their delicious praline recipe and delicate shapes to create the seashells that we now know and love. You can pick your love story chocolate up at most supermarkets!
