This blog series is me wanting to stand up and celebrate the strength and resilience of wonderful women. Female bloggers who, in my eyes, are quite frankly unstoppable. I wanted to celebrate these women and share with you their blogs in the hope that they inspire you too.
This week, I wanted to celebrate the wonderful Jordanne from The Life of A Glasgow Girl. I first ‘met’ Jordanne back when I started blogging in 2016. I came across her asking for people to write guest posts. She kindly accepted one from me, even though I hadn’t been blogging long.
Why She Inspires Me
Jordanne has a truly empowering nature. She has created her own path through the blogging world. She has created Bloggers Tribe, she continually supports other bloggers and all the while raising a beautiful little boy called Leon. To be honest I don’t even believe she knows how fabulous she is and what a great job she is doing. So I wanted to include her in my series to celebrate another fantastic female blogger.
Here is a little bit about Jordanne…
1. What makes you smile?
For me this is such an open question because I have a wide range of things that make me smile! The number one has to be my son though. He makes me smile daily (and want to tear my hair out haha). But he is the sun in my life. My absolute everything!
2. If you could trade lives with one person for an entire day who would it be and why?
Oooo, this is an interesting one, I really don’t know! I would love to see what life is like as a millionaire…. That would be very interesting. To see how they live, is it really everything it’s cracked up to be?
3. What accomplishments are you most proud of?
Raising a tiny human. Every day I ask myself “How?!” I am so proud of him and how well he is coming on. I am also really proud of my blog, I love doing what I do.
4. If you could give your 16 year old self advice, knowing what you know now, what would it be?
Don’t pay attention to the haters, in years to come they will be nothing to you and their opinions don’t define you. You’re better than them. Life is going to be tough for a while, adjusting to life without mum is going to test you but just know you can get through it, life is precious so don’t wish it away.
5. What drives you to do what you do? What motivates you?
Having my son motivates me to be the best me I can be, I want to make a good life for him. When he talks about his mum I want him to be proud of me and know that I work damn hard to give him what he has and to show that doing what you love IS possible, you can most definitely do what you love for your career and create your own path.
